It feels like yesterday when I called my friends Rob Basso and Jeff Cohen about this unique idea I had, meshing networking and charity while filling a void in the Long Island business community. Now 19 years later, we are giving the largest donations in the organization’s history and making an incredible impact on Long Island nonprofits.


I am so proud of how the Long Island Elite (LIE) has evolved. We have donated funds to over 90 local charities, passed millions of dollars in business between members, and most importantly, grown lasting and profound relationships within the organization.


This year’s Charity Partner and Theme are both very close to my heart. SIBS “Survivorship in Brother and Sisters” supports children dealing with the traumatic and emotional impact of a loved one’s medical diagnosis or death. At 16 years old I was one of those siblings and if SIBS was there 31 years ago I belive they would have truly impacted my life. Moulin Rouge with its theme of “Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love” is a reflection of the elements most important to me in life and what I believe we need the most after the very challenging past year.
